Washing your hands is the first line of defense to halt the spread of diseases.
It may seem hard to believe, but most people don’t know how to do it correctly.
Unlike merely “getting the dirt off” hand washing or even bacterial disinfection hand-washing, viruses are a whole different animal.
To start with, they are not animals or organisms or even alive at all.
The entire virus particle called a virion consists of the nucleic acid, either DNA or RNA (but not both), and an outer shell of fat and protein molecules.
This outer shell basically protects the virus from the outside world.

I love infographics, and I love this rock we all reside on.
That’s why I decided to compile this very much needed list of the Best Hand-Washing Infographics.

This infographic is geared towards healthcare providers and is part of their #CLEANHANDSCOUNT campaign, which is a collab between the CDC Foundation and GOJO.
The University of Kentucky (UK) in Lexington designed a simple and sweet infographic that stays in line with their brand colors.
In 2008 they founded Global Handwashing Day, over 120 million children in 70+ countries washed their hands with soap that day.
Global Handwashing Day is celebrated every year on October 15th.
Every time I look at this, I think of the Afterschool special television series when I was a kid.

They took a minimalistic approach to their design with a few colors, a water droplet, and a nice clean big font for the titles.

They have 7000+ people from more than 150 countries working to promote health, combat diseases, and serve the vulnerable.
Their goal is to bring that information to the masses with the least amount of barriers to access.
They have many services and activities that provide cultural, social, and recreational programming that promote the development of leadership, citizenship, and social responsibility.
That was a mouthful.

The website was created by a 17-year-old college student William Gibson from the UK in about a day.
It allows you to generate a hand washing infographic based on your favorite song lyrics.
It’s stupid simple, and hopefully, it can rally the human race as a whole as we use soap and sanitizer to fight an untraditional war instead of bullets and bombs.
When you land on the site, you see a form with directions.
- Type in the Song Title
- Type in the Artist
- Choose Soap or Gel
- Hit Generate
The site will then create your meme, which includes 13 different steps with lyrics to match.
Plus, you can download the infographic for free.
If you want to get fancy, there is also a custom option to use your own lyrics as well.
